In quarrel between biker, auto driver, woman dies on road

A 68 year old woman died on the road while the driver of  auto rickshaw in which she was traveling, and a two wheeler rider argued over a minor accident at Mitra Mandal chowk on Friday. 

Pune: A 68 year old woman died on the road while the driver of  auto rickshaw in which she was traveling, and a two wheeler rider argued over a minor accident at Mitra Mandal chowk on Friday. 

The driver, and rider had left her on road after she fell down due to dizziness.

Passers-by rushed Vatsala Doiphode of Neral, to hospital. She died during treatment. PSI Vikas Jadhav has filed FIR with Dattawadi police station against the unknown auto rickshaw driver and two wheeler rider.

According to police, Vatsala's relatives live in Mukundnagar area. She had come here for a program. 

Around noon on Friday, she was traveling in the autorickshaw when it collided with a bike at Mitra Mandal chowk. Both the driver and bike rider engaged in heated argument. As they were arguing, she got down from the autorickshaw and fell down on road. Seeing this the driver and rider left her and fled.

Police reached the hospital and later contacted her relatives. Based on CCTV footage, cops have filed the case on their own. PSI Jadhav is further investigating the case.
