Pune's temperature set to rise

Pune: Though the minimum temperature on Thursday in the city dropped to 9.2 degrees Celsius, the coming week will be relatively warmer for Puneites. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) noted that the minimum temperature in the city will touch as high as 13 degrees Celsius till February 7.

The minimum temperature in the State was 8.4 degrees Celsius in Ahmednagar on Thursday. The weather across the State will remain dry in the coming week. Maximum temperature in the city will be as high as 32 degrees Celsius and the sky will remain clear this week.

The lowest minimum temperature recorded across the country was at 6.2 degrees Celsius at Mandla in east Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. Dense to very dense fog was observed in Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog was observed in Bihar. Shallow to moderate fog was observed in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab in the morning hours.
According to the IMD forecast, isolated precipitation is likely over northeastern states, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands on February 6 and February 7. Weather is likely to be dry over remaining parts of the country during the same time.
