Pune-Lonavla route to see a mega block

PUNE: The railway authorities will be conducting a mega block in the Pune-Lonavla section from September 10 to 30. The block will be for three hours every day. 

Because of this, four local trains have been cancelled for 20 days.

“The mega block will be conducted between Pune and Lonavla for maintenance of the tracks, repair and signalling system. Also, work related to OHE (overhead electrification) will be done during the period. The work is essential for safe journey of the passengers,” said Manoj Jhawar, spokesperson of the Pune railway division.

During this period, four locals including 99816 Up Pune-Lonavla, which departs from Pune at 12.15 pm and arrives in Lonavla at 1.45 pm, local number 99818 Up Pune-Lonavla, which departs from Pune at 1 pm and arrives in Lonavla at 2.20 pm, the return local number 99813 DN Lonavla-Pune, which departs from Lonavla at 2 pm and arrives in Pune at 3.25 pm, local number 99817 DN, which departs from Lonavla at 3.40 pm and arrives in Pune at 5.05 pm, will be cancelled.

Train number 51451/51452 Baramati-Pune-Baramati passenger train, which was previously cancelled from September 10, will now continue on its scheduled time from September 9.
