Pune: In an effort to increase the safety of its passengers, Indian Railways is set to induct 4410 Linke Hoffman Busch (LHB) coaches with anti-collision technology. With this initiative, Pune-Jabalpur train will now have LHB coaches from August 26. More trains like Shatabdi and other important trains, departing from Pune, will have soon this facility.
LHB design coaches are lighter in weight, have higher carrying capacity, speed potential, and better safety features as compared to Integral Coach Factory (ICF)coaches.
