Pune-Daund passenger train completes 42 years

Pune: The passenger train running between Pune and Daund completed 42 years recently. Also, the Pune Railway Division has added one extra coach on a permanent basis. On the occasion, a brief ceremony was organised at the station. When the train arrived at the station, Krishnath Patil, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager welcomed the passengers with flowers. Milind Deouskar, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) expressed satisfaction and appreciated all railway staff on the occasion.

Minor fire on wagon train
A minor fire occurred on the wagon train on Friday afternoon. The wagon train coming from Vadala, Mumbai was carrying petrol and diesel and going towards Daund. At 2.10 pm there was a minor fire on the train which was spotted by the railway staff when the train was passing through Pune railway station. According to an official, the train was forced to stop and water, which is used for coach filing, was used and later the fire tanker was called to douse the fire.
