Pune builder Devendra Shah shot at; succumbs to injuries

Pune: Pune based builder Devendra Shah was shot at by unidentified assailants outside his house at Prabhat road on Saturday night. He later succumbed to his bullet injuries on Sunday morning at a private hospital.

Shah who resides at Sayali apartments located at Lane no 7 of Prabhat Road was shot at around 11:30 PM in the night below his apartment. A case in this regard was registered at Deccan Police Station.

Rahul Kolambikar, Police Sub Inspector, Deccan Police station, said, "Two motorcycle borne assailants came to the parking area below victim's apartment on Saturday night. Then they sent a person who runs a laundry shop there to call Shah downstairs. When Shah arrived along with his son, he was instantly shot at by the two assailants."

kolambikar informed  that Shah received two bullet injuries in the chest and ribs.

"His son informed that Shah did not have any kind of enemity with anyone and also had not received any kind of extortion calls. We have initiated a probe and have even checked CCTV footage in order to identify the accused. We will nab them soon." added Kolambikar
