Pune based Bonsai artist gets award

Pune: City-based Bonsai artist Prajakta Kale, was recently awarded the ‘Sasyabandhu Award’ in Mysore by Avadhoota Datta Peetham which works for spiritual and cultural welfare. Kale received the citation and trophy from Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda, Founder, Avadhoota Datta Peetham. This award is presented each year to mark the birthday of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda.

Kale has mastered in the art of Bonsai and has more than 1,000 Bonsai with her. She said, “Vaman Vruksha Kala is the Indian name for Bonsai which unfortunately could not get much recognition in India. Hence, this is an initiative to spread awareness amongst the Indians.”
