Pune artiste gets Down Syndrome Day Award

Pune: Pune-based Saylee Agavane, a special girl with Down Syndrome, who is a national and international dance artiste, was recently awarded the World Down Syndrome Day Award.

She received the award in Glasgow, United Kingdom, by Venessa Dos Santos, president of Down Syndrome International Organisation. Saylee was the only girl from India to be selected for the award this year. The other awardees were from the United States, Bangladesh, Albania, Australia and Scotland.
