Pune airport upgrades check-in system

According to the officials of Pune airport, “Check-in conveyor system is being upgraded at the airport. Works are planned for the minimum inconvenience. However, there may be some increased check-in time during the peak hours, which might have caused the inconvenience.”

PUNE: The Pune airport authority has upgraded the check-in system on Saturday evening, which caused inconvenience to the fliers during the peak hours.

According to the officials of Pune airport, “Check-in conveyor system is being upgraded at the airport. Works are planned for the minimum inconvenience. However, there may be some increased check-in time during the peak hours, which might have caused the inconvenience.”

The Pune airport authority has set up a conveyor belt at the departure area. The new system has been inaugurated recently by S Raheja, Member Planning, Airports Authority of India (AAI). The system is automatic. When the luggage is kept on the belt, then the conveyor belt starts moving.

“The new system will save fliers time during the check-in. The upgradation of the belt will help fliers as well as airlines for fast movement of luggage. During the upgradation process, the check-in time has been increased, we deeply regret the inconvenience,” said an official of the Pune airport.
