Pune: Happy couples bring out new and unique ideas to express love for their partners. As their happiest date of togetherness collides with the most romantic month of the year, Milind and Madhura Shalgar, the star couple completed their 25th anniversary on cycling 2,500 km over 25 days.

The couple had been planning to do something unique on completion of their silver jubilee. Among various ideas they chose to cycle from Srinagar on January 21 and ride back home to Pune on February 10 for a grand celebration awaiting their anniversary eve.

Starting the journey from Srinagar, the couple faced a lot of challenges. But as the 44 years old interior designer, Madhura Shalgar said, “In times of challenges, you can show the best care and love for your partner. It’s more than just telling ‘I love you!’.”

“This expedition was not easy for us. We had to face a lot of dangerous and tough situations while starting at Srinagar. The terrorist-prone areas were not possible to expedite without the support of the military people, and also bearing the weather conditions was the most exhausting for us. From -1 degrees in Kashmir to 48 degrees in Rajasthan, it felt impossible for us in many situations, but belief and trust in each other helped us complete this challenge,” said Milind Shalgar, the 50 years old entrepreneur and husband of Madhura.

As they started planning a year before for the expedition, they also helped to train each other for the expedition. Before this, they have also taken part in cycle expeditions, Wagah Border to McLeod Ganj, Bhubaneswar to Vizag and many more. They were even part of the longest human chain underwater recorded in Guinness World Records.
