Police solve Lohegaon murder, paramour held
Sleuths from Crime branch unit-5 have solved the murder case of a 25-year-old woman whose half-burnt body was found by Viman Nagar police on Friday, in Lohegaon. The police arrested the accused on Monday from Hadapsar, who had an illegitimate relationship with the murdered woman.

The accused has been identified as Balaji Dhaktode, 27, a native of Beed, who was residing in Vishrantwadi. Dhaktode, was in an illegitimate relationship with the deceased woman from last 2.5 years and murdered her after she started demanding that the accused should marry her.
The deceased who is been identified as Ayodhya Vaidya, 25, a native of Ahmednagar, was living in Bhosari. She was aware of Dhaktode’s marital status and wanted him to divorce his wife and marry her.
Dhaktode mentioned in his police statement that he murdered Ayodhya with the help of his friend Aniket Khandagale. He stated that from last three months, the deceased was forcing him to divorce his wife and get married to her. She threatened him that if in case, he did not agree to her demands, she will go public about their relationship and inform about it to his family members as well as office colleagues.
According to the Crime Branch Unit-5, being fed up with the marriage demands, Dhaktode decided to murder her. Dhaktode and his friend called her to Lohegaon and then took her to a remote location at Patil Vasti area. All three of them consumed alcohol after which Dhaktode murdered her by using a knife. Later, they poured petrol and burnt her body.
The police informed that they detected the murder with the help of a tattoo ‘Ayodhya’ on the hand of the deceased. They searched for the deceased on Facebook with the help of name.
