Police may arrest 2 in builder’s murder case

Pune: A week after builder Deven Shah was shot dead outside his house on Prabhat Road, the police may arrest two persons in the case. 

The accused have been identified as Ravi Chorge and Rahul Shivtare. They used to deal with real estate matters and were known to Shah. Both of them have cases registered against them for various offences.

Deven Shah (56), founder of Ambika Corp, who used to reside at Sayali Apartments in lane number 7 of Prabhat Road, was shot at around 11:05 pm on January 13.

Deven Shah (56), founder of Ambika Corp, who used to reside at Sayali Apartments in lane number 7 of Prabhat Road, was shot at around 11:05 pm on January 13. 

The accused had sent a person who runs a laundry shop there to call Shah downstairs. 

Initially, Shah’s son Atit came downstairs but the duo told him that they had come to meet his father and not him. 

Later, when Shah arrived downstairs, he was instantly shot at by the two assailants. Shah had received two bullet injuries.
