Police bust sex racket in Viman Nagar

The police have rescued two women from the spot and have arrested the agent who forced them into prostitution. However, the owner of the hotel is still at large.

PUNE: A sex racket has been busted by the sleuths of Social Security Cell of Pune police during a raid at Hotel Gokul Residency in Viman Nagar on Friday.

The police have rescued two women from the spot and have arrested the agent who forced them into prostitution. However, the owner of the hotel is still at large.

The arrested accused has been identified as Mukesh Kumar Lohar (33), a resident of Vadgaon Sheri. The police have also registered a case against hotel’s owner Firoz Mukeri.

According to the Yerawada police, the accused persons used to trafficked women from various states of the country and used to force them into prostitution. 

Recently, Kondhwa police had busted a high profile sex racket during a raid carried out at Shalimar Society in Kondhwa.
