Four toll booth employees have been booked under criminal charges by the police in this regard. The accused have been identified as Sanjay Lone, Pradeep Deshmukh, Anand and Pandurang Dive.

According to information provided by ACB, on Tuesday, a team comprising Dy SP Kanchan Jadhav, Police Inspector Chandrakant Choudhary and other members of staff were on the way for an official work to Aalephata. While on the way towards their destination, the team stopped at a toll booth at Chalakwadi on Pune-Nashik highway.

ACB informed that while they showed their police identity cards at the booth, the toll employees acted waywardly with them and told them that police identity cards do work at the toll booth and they have to pay the toll charges.

Police have registered a case under section 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 509  (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of IPC.
