Pune: Three more persons were arrested in the firing case of real estate developer Yogesh Shelar on June 24 in Pimple Gurav. The accused have been identified as Sarabh Shinde (20), Pranav Gavde (19) and Bunty Mapare (19).
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Dahane, Shelar was shot at by two bike-borne persons, after which, based on Shelar’s complaint, Aditi Gaikwad (22) was arrested. As there was a financial dispute between Aditi’s father and Shelar, Aditi had hatched the murder plan along with her cousin Saurabh.
Saurabh, who was in contact with a criminal named Bunty Jadhav, gave the murder contract to Jadhav for Rs 5 lakh. “An advance payment of Rs 50,000 was made to Jadhav by Aditi and Saurabh for killing Shelar. Following this, Bunty Jadhav took the help of Bunty Mapare, Pranav Gavde and two other persons to kill Shelar,” added Dahane.
The police said that two persons who shot at Shelar are yet to be arrested. Police Inspector Rajendra Todkar said that Mapare was keeping a watch on Shelar’s routine so that the contract killers can strike at the right time. “We are in search of the other accused involved in the case,” added Todkar.
The investigation team included Assistant Police Inspector Nitin Bhoyar, Police Sub-Inspector Vilas Palande and others. Police said that Aditi was pursuing her MBA from United Kingdom (UK) and had recently returned.
