Pune: The Class 10 students of Podar International School (PIS) in Chakan shine in All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) held by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the academic year 2016-17.
This was the third batch of Class 10 with 38 students who appeared for the CBSE board exam in March 2017. The students gave their 100 per cent and brought laurels to the institution.
Five students out of 38 scored 10 CGPA, while 19 students scored 9 and above CGPA and 11 students scored 8 and above CGPA.
Pratyush Chowdhury with 98 per cent, Poonia Dharampal with 97 per cent and Bhavya Prakash Shah with 96 per cent, Amit Patil and Shravani Ghate who secured 95 per cent were the five toppers of the school.
There were students who have also scored 100 marks in math, 99 marks in SST, 99 marks in Sanskrit and 98 marks in English.
School Principal Simran Kaur congratulated all the students and teachers for their hard work and sincerity and the parents for their unwavering faith in the PIS, Chakan.
“The outstanding result of Std 10 in the board examination 2017 reaffirms our commitment to consistently creating achievers and vindicates our purpose of excellence in education,” said Kaur.
