PMRDA officials have appealed to people to be alert while purchasing property in PMRDA region. 

Pune: Officials of the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) on Friday organised a workshop for residents of Maval taluka on illegal construction.

PMRDA Chief Kiran Gitte said that people should always check for legality, clearance of necessary permissions, zone of property while buying property in the region of PMRDA. Of the 1,600 illegal construction properties, PMRDA has already razed above 100 such properties in their jurisdiction. 

PMRDA has issued notices to all these authorities. PMRDA officials said that people who are been served notices from PMRDA are supposed to reply to the notice in 24 hours of receiving the notice. 

Officials said there are provisions of three years of jail for illegal constructions in PMRDA region. Officials said gramsevaks should work to alert authorities about illegal construction in their area.
