Pune: Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) received good response to its ‘Online Building Planning Approval System (OBPAS)’ training workshop.
The online system was explained to the developers, licensed surveyors and architects during the workshop. A detailed presentation and drafting demo was presented by the technical developers from Vinzas Solution during the event. The dedicated OBPAS portal ‘www.pmrda-obpas.com’ has details about the ‘User Manual’ for easy reference. More than 300 architects and developers participated in the training programme.
The programme was chaired by Kiran Gitte, Metropolitan Commissioner of PMRDA, Vijaykumar Goswami, Metropolitan Planner of PMRDA, Vidyut Varkhedkar, Deputy CEO of PMRDA, and Devendra Potphode, Chief Fire Officer of PMRDA. Gitte said, “OBPAS makes the entire building plan approval process transparent and efficient. Digitally-signed building plan drawings and bank challans will be provided and all updates will be provided on e-mail and mobile. A unique ‘color-coding scheme’ has been used in this system that makes the drafting of building plans very easy.
This system is being integrated with the GIS-based Existing Land Use (ELU) portal of PMRDA. Fire NOC and Environmental Clearance have also been integrated.” Vijaykumar Goswami said, “The OBPAS portal will be accessible to all absolutely free of cost. Auto CAD drawings can be submitted in the system in ‘.dwg’ format.”
