PMPML to stop BRTS operations on Nagar Road

PUNE: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) will stop operation of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) corridor on Nagar Road from November 18 as the metro project will soon start on this route.

The PMPML's 3-km BRTS route is operating from Yerawada Chowk to Viman Nagar corner. The Nagar Road BRT is under line 2 from Vanaz Corner to Ramwadi. The metro work has already started on Bund Garden Road. The Nagar Road work will start from November 18.

"Due to metro work, the buses will not operate on BRTS route at Yerawada, Gunjan Corner, Wadia Bungalow, Shastri Nagar, Ramwadi Jakat Naka and Vadgaon Sheri. The operation will be suspended till the metro work is completed. The buses will stop on the roadside bus stops," said a PMPML official.
