PMC to construct grade separator at Golf Club Chowk

Municipal Commissioner Kunal Kumar along with local MLA Jagdish Mulik and corporators visited the area on Sunday to get an idea of the traffic problems and listened to the commuters and pedestrians’ complaints

Pune: Tao decongest the busy Golf Club Chowk on Ahmednagar Road, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has planned to construct a grade separator at the chowk. According to the PMC, the construction work will be initiated soon.

Municipal Commissioner Kunal Kumar along with local MLA Jagdish Mulik and corporators visited the area on Sunday to get an idea of the traffic problems and listened to the commuters and pedestrians’ complaints.

Since the locals were complaining about lack of road infrastructure in the area, Mulik followed the proposal of the project with the PMC and got the project sanctioned with the required monetary provisions in the civic budget for 2017-18. The total project cost of the grade separator is Rs 8 crore and the PMC has made the provision of Rs 1.5 crore to initiate the work as soon as possible.

Along with the problem of traffic other issues in the areas were also brought to the notice of Kumar by local corporators. The citizens complained about lack of public toilets and the sorry state of available public toilets, water woes etc.
