PMC to announce list of free beds in private hospitals

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to upload the list of free beds available in the private  hospitals which were granted free floor space index (FSI) against keeping freed beds  reserved in the name of the PMC. A decision in this regard was taken on Tuesday in the standing committee meeting of the PMC.

A decision in this regard was taken on Tuesday in the standing committee meeting of the PMC. 

According to the PMC the private hospitals which utilised the free FSI scheme of the PMC while constructing the hospital building have to keep reserved certain number of beds for the PMC against utilising the scheme. The scheme was floated by the PMC few years back and so far total five hospitals have been benefited from the scheme. 

There are total 67 free beds reserved for the PMC out of which 12 are reserved in Ruby Hall  Clinic, 20 in trauma centre of Sahyadri Hospital in Bopodi and 10 in general ward in the same hospital, Five beds in Sahyadri Specialty Hospital in Deccan Gymkhana, 10 beds in AIMS and 10 beds in Inlaks and Budhrani Hospital. 

Speaking to the press standing committee chairman Murlidhar Mohol  said that since the common man does not know that how many free beds are there available in the private hospitals for the PMC so the proposal in this regard has been approved without delay. Shiv Sena corporator Bala Oswal tabled the proposal before the standing committee.

He also said that there will be daily update on the PMC's website about how many beds are available on daily basis and the health department of the PMC will also get to know about the ground situation at the hospitals.
