PCMC politicos using online platforms to reach out to voters

Pimpri: Politicians in Pimpri-Chinchwad are in the race of creating their own online platform to reach out to their voters. Recently, Rajya Sabha MP from Pimpri-Chinchwad Amar Sable launched his news portal called AmarVani. The portal is dedicated to news pertaining to his political activities. It was launched at Parliament House by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Sabale is not the only politician in Pimpri-Chinchwad who has started using online media, many city politicians like MP Shrirang Barane and MLAs Laxman Jagtap and Mahesh Landge are using digital media for their promotion.  BJP has its own news portal with which Jagtap is associated. Despite this, MP Sabale feels the requirement to have his own portal and news app.  Shiv Sena's Barane extensively uses a private news portal for any updates related to the political activities he is involved in. The Bhosari MLA has also started his news portal along with a mobile app.

Taking cue from other parties, the city unit of NCP is also looking at launching its own news portal soon.
