PCB orders removal of illegal hoardings

Priyanka Shrigiri, vice president of PCB, said, “The survey revealed that from more than 100 hoardings, 54 are illegal. Now we have passed orders to remove them.”

Pune: There are around 54 illegal hoardings in the jurisdiction of Pune Cantonment which have not been paid attention by the officials earlier. The officials have now given orders to remove these illegal hoardings after the Juna Bazaar incident happened on October 6.

After the day of the incident, the Cantonment issued orders to undertake a survey of illegal hoardings in the Cantonment area. From the survey, the Cantonment came to know that there are 54 illegal hoardings in their jurisdiction out of 100. 

Priyanka Shrigiri, vice president of PCB, said, “The survey revealed that from more than 100 hoardings, 54 are illegal. Now we have passed orders to remove them.”

“Some of the illegal hoardings are being newly installed and some are there from several years. We have given orders check the iron bars of the legal hoardings if they are in proper condition or rusted and to maintain it,” Shrigiri added.
