Passport Adalat to be held on Feb 13

PUNE: For the convenience of the passport applicants of Pune region, whose passport applications are pending for a long time, the Regional Passport Office (RPO) is organising Passport Adalat on February 13 at RPO, Senapati Bapat Road.

Anant Takwale, Regional Passport Officer, said, “Currently we don’t have any pending passport from our side. There are around 1,500 applications pending from the applicants’ side like they have not submitted some documents or others. It will resolve in this adalat. Currently, we are dispatching and printing 1,800 passports daily.”

Pune, Solapur, Ahmednagar, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Osmanabad, Nanded and Parbhani come under the Pune region.

As per the notification, the adalat will be open only to the applicants who have taken the prior appointment. Applicant has to either write an email to passportadalat@gmail.com with name, file number and contact number or write a letter to the RPO with his or her name, file number and contact number also be mentioned in the letter. The last date of receiving the email or letter is February 12.

Based on the requirement of the passport application case, the passport office will inform the applicant by email or telephone the timing when the applicant has to come to the Passport Adalat. The applicant at that time must bring all the required documents and a copy of their email to the passport office, state the notification.
