Board issues notification over Std XII question papers of Hindi and Political Science being circulated
Pune: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday issued an alert regarding fake question papers of Std XII Hindi and Political Science being circulated on social media. The exams are scheduled for April 2 and April 6 respectively.
The alert was issued against the backdrop of the Std X and Std XII paper leaks controversy. A circular from the office of the Senior PRO, CBSE, said that it has been brought to notice that a fake question papers of Std XII-Hindi (elective) subject and Political Science were being circulated on social media, i.e. WhatsApp, YouTube, etc.
“Question papers on social media are either from previous years or fake. Hence, it is requested not to circulate news about these fake papers so that students and other stakeholders are not misled,” read the CBSE circular.
Meanwhile, against the backdrop of the Std X Mathematics and Std XII Economics paper leaks, a pan-India parents’ association has filed a complaint with the National Commission for Protecting Child Rights (NCPCR) to take suo motu cognisance of the CBSE paper leak issue.
The letter to NCPCR said that the recent paper leak issue has caused huge outrage across the country. The situation is very serious and has created a lot of agony and mental and physical harassment for students, which will affect their future. It is a complete violation of child rights and fundamental rights of children. Therefore, Ministry of Human Resource Development officials and other state secretaries should conduct a proper inquiry. The association has also demanded a CBI probe into the case.
