The soaring temperature in the city has now become a cause of worry for both citizens and villagers. The Orchid Hotel celebrated the day, along with the optimistic ‘naturezens’ of Tikona Peth, which is 30 km away from Pune. The initiative kicked off with planting of saplings in a school, painting of school walls with environment-friendly messages followed by a briefing on the methods that could be effectively undertaken to preserve nature.

The Green Team designed and structured by The Orchid Hotel took a pledge and educated them on the use of plastic and its effects. Single-use plastic includes things such as plastic bags, straws, coffee stirrers, water and soda bottles and most of the food packaging. In addition, they painted the walls of the Zilla Parishad School along with messages of saving the environment.
