PUNE: The 8th Founders’ Day was celebrated at The Orbis School in which the founders of the school were felicitated.

Their vision to initiate the ‘celebrate learning’ movement and laying a strong foundation by being the torch bearers in all fields of school management was applauded.

In keeping with the Orbis vision ‘to be the seeds of change’, the students presented reports on the different social drives that Orbians support as responsible members of society, like collection of old newspapers to support ‘CPAA’, buy medicines for cancer patients, assistance to ‘Childline’ to provide help to children in distress, collection of plastic waste for its conversion into poly fuel, and empowering the ‘Indian Association for the Blind’ with the White Cane project.

They have also participated in helping ‘Each One Teach One’ initiative to help make literacy for all a reality, Bala Janaagraha civic leadership to take the lead in resolving civic issues, contribution to Sakal Stationery collection drive and much more.

The event ended with a vote of thanks by social service partners and recitation of inspirational poems.
