One person held for trying to kill wife

According to the Khadak police, on Wednesday, Bhosale called his wife at a spot near his residence with the intention to withdraw the criminal case lodged against him. When she refused to do so, he got enraged and attacked her with a knife. 

PUNE: A man has been arrested by the Khadak police for attempting to murder his wife. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in Shukrawar Peth under the jurisdiction of Khadak police station.

The police have identified the accused as Santosh Bhosale, 31, a resident of Shukrawar Peth. Bhosale has attacked his wife Rupali with a sharp weapon and inflicted severe injuries on her neck and chin.

The victim who was living separately from her husband was subjected to physical abuse in the past by him. She had even registered a complaint against him previously at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police station.

The victim reported the matter to Khadak police station who then arrested the accused.
