NSS unit of VIIT organises tree plantation event

Pune: The NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) in association with Rotary Club-NIBM, Gujjarwadi Gram Panchayat and Forest Ministry recently organised a tree plantation event at Government of Maharashtra forest area in Gujjarwadi.

Pune: The NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) in association with Rotary Club-NIBM, Gujjarwadi Gram Panchayat and Forest Ministry recently organised a tree plantation event at Government of Maharashtra forest area in Gujjarwadi.

The NSS programme coordinator Dr Ravindra Acharya, Head of Gujjarwadi village Kavita Shinde, Dipak Gujjar, President of Rotary Club Manoj Karyakare, Vice President Vivek Dixit along with their team were present at the event. Students were guided by trustee of VIIT Bharat Agrawal, Principal Bilavari Karkare and staff members Prof Dane, Prof Priya Belhekar and Prof Koppad.

The volunteers of NSS and villagers of Gujjarwadi enthusiastically participated in the task of planting 3,000 trees. Around 50 volunteers were present for the event.
