PUNE: The deadline to apply online for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) has been extended from October 4 to October 7.
With late fees, the students can apply for the examination till October 14, and with super-late fees, the deadline is October 20.
According to the procedure, the schools first need to register themselves online, and then, student candidates could be registered through their respective schools.
Till date, around 2,427 students have applied successfully through a total of 2,647 schools. However, although the preliminary application procedure of around 4,833 students has been completed, their applications are still pending.
“Though the deadline for applying to NTSE has been extended, the examination will take place on November 5, according to the previously declared schedule. People shouldn’t believe in any rumours suggesting that the exam dates have been postponed. The schools should try to complete students’ applications online at the earliest,” Suresh Mali, Deputy Commissioner, Maharashtra State Council of Examination said.
