PUNE: Soon, you will not have to wait in long queues at the RTO as it is going to start an online payment system. This will be implemented after the orders of the Transport Commissioner to all RTOs in the State and will be made available online from November 16 onwards. The online service will allow citizens to do various types of work related to taxation of vehicles and ownership rights. Therefore, the applicants rushing to the RTO and the tension of administration will be reduced, claims the authority. Also, a single window scheme will be implemented soon.
Currently, there are 107 services available for licence procedure in the RTO. Out of these, 45 services have a major share in the daily business. These include various services like licence removal, tax filing, vehicle ownership transfer and registration certificate. Out of this, obtaining learning and permanent licence process has already been implemented online.
“Now, after purchasing vehicles, 16 services will be made available online. The citizens will be able to avail these services through the website https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan from November 1. Citizens will have to go to the online services option on this website.
After that, they will have to fill the application on the screen according to the service they want. Online services will be easy to deal with, and the fees charged for all these services can also be submitted online. Citizens will also be able to avail this facility in Common Service Centres,” said Regional Transport Officer Babasaheb Ajri.
EASY AND ACCESSIBLE ONLINE SERVICE
RTO will be offering 16 services online at https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan website. Citizens will also be able to avail the services and pay fees online. Within three days of the payment, the relevant application form and the mentioned documents will be submitted to the RTO. For this, a window scheme will be implemented in the RTO. Therefore, citizens who have applied online will not have to spend a lot of time at the RTO.
