Nigdi police nab four criminals

Pune: Four criminals involved in various criminal incidents were nabbed by officials of the Nigdi police in three different incidents. Nigdi police have claimed to solved 16 cases, including 14 cases of two-wheeler thefts and two of burglaries.

According to information given by Senior Police Inspector Vijaykumar Palsule of Nigdi police station, in first incident, a team of Nigdi police including Assistant Police Inspector Devendra Chavan, Police Naik Farooq Mulla, Nitin Bahirat were patrolling in Nigdi when they found a youth with a two-wheeler roaming around in suspicious manner. After the youth Santosh Deshmukh was arrested, police found that he has been involved in12 cases of two-wheeler thefts in Nigdi, Pimpri, Dehu Road, Chakan and Hadapsar. 

"We have recovered 12 two-wheelers from the accused," added Palsule.
Police Inspector Shankar Awtade said that two youths Gaurav Sarode (20) and Manoj Sarode (19) were arrested in burglary and two-wheeler theft cases. "Nigdi police had received a tip-off that the accused are in their homes and accordingly they were nabbed by Nigdi police. They are involved in five cases," added Awtade. In another incident, police Head Constable Narayan Jadhav, Kiran Khedkar and Sharif Mulani nabbed Salim Shaikh (23) in a burglary case. 

After the youth Santosh Deshmukh was arrested, police found that he has been involved in12 cases of two-wheeler thefts in Nigdi, Pimpri, Dehu Road, Chakan and Hadapsar.
