NDA to probe ‘fake’ press release

The National Defence Academy (NDA) has ordered an inquiry in connection with a press release which was received at newspaper offices last month through Pune’s Patrakar Bhavan news release distribution regarding the cancellation of PHD degrees of two NDA teachers.

Pune: The National Defence Academy (NDA) has ordered an inquiry in connection with a press release which was received at newspaper offices last month through Pune’s Patrakar Bhavan news release distribution regarding the cancellation of PHD degrees of two NDA teachers.

NDA has ordered an enquiry and NDA Principal Dr OP Shukla has denied that any such press release was issued. According to NDA authorities, “Dr OP Shukla has clearly denied issuing any such press release/statement to any news agency in any medium. An enquiry on the subject is being ordered by NDA against Dr OP Shukla for violation of CCS rules (contacting press or issuing press release without prior clearance).”

When contacted, the two teachers whose name were mentioned in the press release, refused to comment on the issue.
