MVSTF conducts special training session for CM’s Rural Development Fellows

Pune: A week long training was conducted for 150 Chief Minister Rural Development fellows from 11 districts who are working on various social issues in villages across maharashtra under the Maharashtra Village Social Transformation Foundation (MVSTF) initiative.

Pune: A week long training was conducted for 150 Chief Minister Rural Development fellows from 11 districts who are working on various social issues in villages across maharashtra under the Maharashtra Village Social Transformation Foundation (MVSTF) initiative.

The training session was conducted at Yashada and was headed by Additional Chief secretary(ACS) Pravin Pardeshi and various other dignitaries.Pardeshi said that fellows were chosen based on an exam and they are hired on contract for about a year.”The fellows are working to problems in implementation of various government scheme.They are working on issues of agriculture, irrigation, emmployment and others.” added Pardeshi. 

The ACS shared that the state is planning to implement the scheme in 1000 villages and currently the fellows are active in around 300 villages.”The villages were chosen based on the value of human development index in the village.Many corporates are also contributing in the change” added Pardeshi. 

Ramnath Subramanian, CEO, MVSTF, said, “The Gram Parivartaks(fellows) are playing vital role in the village transformation through their consistent hard work and innovative ideas. This training session was conducted to know their reviews or problems which they face at the grassroots level and guide them for the future development of their respective villages. This training session empowers the fellows to accomplish the mission of development.”
