Mumbai HC extends interim bail of DSK, wife till Nov 30

Pune: The Mumbai High Court (HC), on Thursday, extended the interim protection to builder DS Kulkarni and wife from arrest until November 30. The couple is facing various charges for not returning the money of depositors.  

On October 28, Pune police had registered a case against Kulkarni (68), director of the DSK Group, and his wife Hemanti (58).

Jitendra Narayan Mulekar (65) of Kothrud has lodged an FIR against them with Shivajinagar police station.

Later, thousands of people came forward to lodge a complaint against him. Kulkarni has claimed that he will return their money by March next year.

Police have charged the couple for offences under Indian Penal Code, Maharashtra Protection Of Interest of Depositors Act and Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act. The economic offences wing (EOW) is investigating the case.
