MRA to celebrate International Men’s Day today

Pune: The Men’s Rights Association (MRA), Pune will celebrate International Men’s Day in Shaniwarwada on Sunday.

Chetan Varma, Secretory of MRA, said “The main aim of the event is to recognise the efforts put in by the men of the society to build their family and status and due to some reasons, they are sidelined by their own family and their importance is lost. We have invited eminent Marathi poet known for his comic poetry, Ashok Naigaonkar who will also be the chief guest. We are expecting 200 to 250 people to attend the event and it is open for all.”

The event will also be attended by Akshay Dutt, producer and director of Marathi film Dhagedore. Along with it, MRA has also invited Dr Rushikesh who runs a prostate cancer institute at Koregaon Park. Dr Rushikesh will deliver a lecture on effective measures against prostate cancer which is common among men. Also, Rahul Lohegaonkar, a radio jockey, will be present at the event.
