Mobile snatchers strike in Pimpri-Chinchwad

As per MIDC Bhosari police, the complainant Shrikant Joshi was passing from Mahabali Chowk in Shahunagar on Wednesday. Two unidentified persons on a two-wheeler approached Shrikant, snatched his phone and fled from the spot.

PUNE: Mobile snatchers continue to be on the prowl in Pimpri-Chinchwad area.

The latest victim is an 18-year-old boy, who was robbed of his phone worth Rs 12,000. A case of robbery was lodged at MIDC Bhosari police station. As per MIDC Bhosari police, the complainant Shrikant Joshi was passing from Mahabali Chowk in Shahunagar on Wednesday. Two unidentified persons on a two-wheeler approached Shrikant, snatched his phone and fled from the spot.

In another incident, one Sunil Chauhan (24) was talking on the phone on the Pune-Nashik Highway in Bhosari on Thursday when two bike-borne unidentified persons snatched his mobile worth Rs 8,000 and fled. Sunil has lodged a case at the Bhosari police station.

Similarly, a 26-year-old woman on her way home in Baner, was targeted by an unidentified person on a two-wheeler, who snatched her purse containing some cash and a mobile phone worth Rs 15,000 and fled on Thursday.
