MLA’s hands fractured in E-way mishap

The police said the MLA was heading towards Pune from Mumbai in his Fortuner SUV when it was brushed by a white tempo near Sinhgad College in Kusgaon.

PUNE: MLA Madhusudan Kendre of Gangakhed Parbhani was injured in an accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway at 2.30 am on Wednesday. He fractured both his hands in the mishap. A case of rash driving was lodged against an unidentified tempo driver at Lonavla rural police station. 

The police said the MLA was heading towards Pune from Mumbai in his Fortuner SUV when it was brushed by a white tempo near Sinhgad College in Kusgaon. 

Assistant Police Inspector S Patil who is investigating the case, said the tempo splashed muddy water on the front screen of the Fortuner, which caused the SUV to collide with a truck. The tempo sped away from the spot. The MLA left for Parbhani after taking treatment.
