Minimum temp to remain between 11 and 12 degrees Celsius in Pune next week

Pune: According to the India Meteorological department (IMD), the minimum temperature in the city is likely to remain between 11 and 12 degrees Celsius in the coming week due to the cloudy sky. On Friday, the minimum temperature recorded in the city was 10.5 degrees. The temperature will dip in other parts of the state.

The lowest minimum temperature was recorded in the state at Osmanabad at 8.7 degrees Celsius and the highest maximum temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius at Ratnagiri.

IMD officials noted that in the coming week, the sky will remain clouded and so the temperature in the city is expected to not decrease much. "Clouds trap the heat from the Earth and the temperature does not decrease," said the officials.

IMD predicted that the rest of the state will have dry weather.
Cold wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Telangana. Dense to very dense fog observed at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Dense fog prevailed at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya. Moderate fog was found at isolated places over sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, north Rajasthan and north Madhya Pradesh.

The lowest visibility was observed at Ludhiana, Patiala, Ambala, Karnal, Meerut, Agra, Hardoi and Varanasi and other places in north India.

IMD has predicted that cold wave conditions at isolated places are very likely over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, north Punjab and Rajasthan. Dense to very dense fog at isolated places is very likely over Uttar Pradesh.
