Pune: Following the alleged abuse faced by Nirmala Yadav, a cook who was assaulted by senior Indian Metereological Department scientist Medha Khole last week for cheating her, members of Maratha Kranti Morcha, a city-based Maratha organisation has organised a protest march against Khole on September 25.

The protest march will start from Lal Mahal at 11 am and will culminate at Pune Police Commissioner’s office in Camp. While addressing a press conference, Rahul Pokle, a member of the organisation, said that Yadav was insulted by Khole for no cause and so, the members of the organisation demand justice. Yadav was also present at the press conference and said that after the incident, she has been through mental stress.

Last week, Khole had lodged a cheating case against Yadav at Sinhagad Road police station, stating that Yadav informed her name as Nirmala Kulkarni and not Nirmala Yadav. This had led to several protest marches in the city against Khole, after which Khole chose to take back her complaint against Yadav.

As Yadav was allegedly abused and assaulted by Khole for hiding the fact, she lodged a complaint against Khole at Sinhagad Road
police station.
