Man takes bank loan on fake documents

Police Sub-inspector Sagar Patil of Market Yard police station said that Jadhav also made a fake account at the bank in Rathod’s name and submitted the loan cheque in that account. 

PUNE: Subhash Rathod (59) was shocked on being apprised by Urban Cooperative Bank Limited about a loan he took against his flat in Bhosari. 

On enquiry, he learnt that someone named Sunil Jadhav allegedly submitted fake documents of his flat at LIC Housing to procure a loan of Rs 40.7 lakh. 

Police Sub-inspector Sagar Patil of Market Yard police station said that Jadhav also made a fake account at the bank in Rathod’s name and submitted the loan cheque in that account. 

Later, Jadhav withdrew the loan amount. “Rathod’s son is staying in the flat. The fraud took place between 2014 to 2017,” added Patil.
