Man robbed of Rs 2.25L in lift

Pune: Two unidentified persons robbed a 26-year-old man of cash worth Rs 2.25 lakh while he was in a lift of a building, near Choice Garden in Nana Peth area. A case of robbery was lodged by the complainant, Jitendra Mali, regarding the same at Samarath police station. 

As per the information given by the Samarth police, the incident occurred at around 8.30 pm. The complainant told the police that he was carrying the bag containing cash and a man entered the lift with him. The man then threatened him and asked him to hand over the bag and said that he would kill him if he did not do so. The unidentified person then snatched the bag from Mali’s hand and fled with his partner, who was waiting for him on a two-wheeler.

Police Sub-Inspector N Atkare is investigating the case.
