Man robbed of cash, gold biscuits worth Rs. 1.35 crore

Pune: A delivery boy of a jeweller was allegedly robbed of Rs 60,000 cash and 45 gold biscuits, totally worth Rs 1.35 crore, near Balewadi Stadium on Wednesday night.

Behraram Purohit (31) of Timber Market has lodged an FIR in this regard with Hinjewadi police station.

According to police, he works with a jeweller in Raviwar Peth. He was bringing the gold biscuits from Mumbai in a shared cab.

According to police, he works with a jeweller in Raviwar Peth. He was bringing the gold biscuits from Mumbai in a shared cab.

After alighting from the cab at around 10.30 pm, he boarded an autorickshaw. The three other passengers in the autorickshaw allegedly threatened him with knives and robbed him of his phone, Rs 60,000 cash and the 45 gold biscuits.
