Man kills wife on Hanuman tekdi

Pune: A 32-year-old woman was hacked to death on Hanuman tekdi allegedly by her husband on Sunday evening. The deceased Komal Devram Devkar was a resident of Vadarwadi near Hanuman tekdi. As per information given by Deccan police, who are investigating the case, the accused Devram Devkar has been arrested in the case. Police Inspector Ajay Kadam and Police Sub Inspector Rahul Kolambikar rushed to the spot after they were informed about the incident.

Police said that they were informed by local residents who go for a walk on the tekdi. When police rushed to the spot they found Komal in a pool of blood with several assault marks. Police have taken Devram into custody and were 

in process of lodging a case of murder against him on Sunday evening. Police suspect that Devram had a doubt on Komal's character and so would have taken the extreme step. Devram works as a painter in the city. Many people go for a walk on the tekdi in morning and evening. Deccan police are further investigating the case. Police said that they are investigating whether Hanuman tekdi was a primary or secondary scene of the crime as the duo had fought in their home near the tekdi on Sunday afternoon.
