Pune: A 30-year-old man has committed suicide on Tuesday at Yerawada after his wife didn’t allow him to meet his parents. The Yerawada police have registered a case against the wife of the deceased.
The accused woman has been identified as Sangeeta Chauhan who was harassing her husband Gopal Chauhan and forced him to end his life. Chauhan who was threatened by his wife to not to call or meet his elderly parents, ended his life by hanging himself at his residence at Yerawada.
According to the Yerawada police, Chauhan and his wife Sangeeta got married in 2014. As she was not able to conceive, she started harassing Chauhan and then prohibited him from meeting or speaking to his parents.
She used to threaten him by stating that she will commit suicide if he meets his parents. After being fed up with the repeated harassment, the deceased ended his life.
