Man duped of `11.87L on US job pretext

As per complainant Vishndev Yadav, a resident of Sinhgad road, he was defrauded over three months.

Pune: A 50-year-old man was duped of Rs 11.87 lakh on the pretext of a job in America. Sinhgad police has registered a case of cheating in this regard against an unidentified fraudster.

Per complainant Vishndev Yadav, a resident of Sinhgad road, he was defrauded over three months.

Sangita Yadav, Police Inspector (Crime), Sinhgad road police station, said, “The complainant initially identified himself as Macguire, which seems to be a fake name. He offered the complainant a job at Wardington industry in America. After which he made Yadav transfer the money in the name of job processing.”

Yadav said the complainant realised that he was defrauded after the accused stopped responding.
