Man booked for duping 10 women on pretext of foreign tours

Pune: A man was booked by the Sinhgad police for duping ten women of Rs 6.5 lakh on the pretext of taking them on trips to Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

The accused, Sachin Gaikwad (40), a resident of Narhe village, called the women to an office at Sai Srishti Apartment in Lagadmala Dhayari between March and April 3 and took around Rs 6.5 lakh from them, saying that he will take them on tours in May.

The accused took the money from them and then stopped taking their calls.

Police have registered a case of cheating against the accused, who is still at large.
