Malayalam film festival by NFAI from April 20

Pune: National Film Archive of India (NFAI) is all set to host Keraleeyam, a festival of award-winning contemporary Malayalam films for the film lovers in Pune. The festival has been organised in coordination with Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. It will feature 12 films from various genres.

Pune: National Film Archive of India (NFAI) is all set to host Keraleeyam, a festival of award-winning contemporary Malayalam films for the film lovers in Pune. The festival has been organised in coordination with Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. It will feature 12 films from various genres.

The three-day festival starting from the evening of April 20 will feature films which include National award-winning and much-admired films like Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Alorukkam, Otaal and Take Off. Award-winning artist and lead actress of the film Take Off, Parvathy and Kerala State Chalachitra Academy Vice Chairman and acclaimed film editor Bina Paul will be present for the opening ceremony.

The festival aims to open the window for cultural exchange between the states through these much-talked films. This will be the ideal opportunity and sure to be a treat for students and film enthusiasts to explore the new trends in Malayalam cinema.
The entry to the festival is free for all and seating will be on first come first served basis.
