Pune: Maintenance and repair work of the tracks on the Pune-Daund railway section will affect a few trains from April 23 to 30. The block will take place for three hours in the afternoon daily during the period. Hence, the Pune-Daund DEMU will be cancelled for eight days.
According to Indian Railways, train number 71407 Pune-Daund DEMU passenger that departs from Pune at 10.30 am and arrives in Daund at 12.35 pm and train number 71408 Daund-Pune DEMU passenger, which departs from Daund at 12.43 pm and arrives at Pune at 2.13 pm, will be cancelled.
Similarly, train number 51452 Baramati-Pune passenger and train number 51421 Pune-Nizamabad Passenger will be partially cancelled on Pune-Daund-Pune section.
Train number 11046 Amravati-Pune Express will halt for 50 minutes at Daund station on Tuesday and for one hour 50 minutes on Sunday. Train number 17014 Hyderabad-Pune Express will halt for one-and-a-half hours at Daund Station on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Railways have decided to implement a mega block on the Pune-Lonavla section during the same period. Due to technical work, four local trains will be cancelled during the period.
According to Railways, 99816 Pune-Lonavla train, which departs from Pune at 12.15 pm, 99818 Pune-Lonavla train, which departs at 1 pm, 99813 Lonavla-Pune train, which departs at 2 pm and 99817 Lonavla-Pune train, which departs at 3.40 pm, will be cancelled.
