Mahabalipuram temple at Twashta Kasar Ganesh Mandal

Mandal President Suresh Potphode said, “On the basis of the review that no mandals in the city have made a setup of this temple, we thought of making this particular temple."

PUNE: On completion of 125 years of Kasba Peth’s Twashta Kasar Ganesh Mandal, the group has made a replica of Mahabalipuram temple for this year’s Ganesh festival.

Mandal President Suresh Potphode said, “On the basis of the review that no mandals in the city have made a setup of this temple, we thought of making this particular temple. Also, this year women-centric programmes will be arranged during Ganpati celebration.”

Siddharth Tathuskar, the designer of the set, said, “The temple is erected in the premises of 2,400 sq ft and is made in an eco-friendly way. On September 10, the set will be open to the public.”
